Sarah is only 18 years old, but God has already given her a lifetime of
experiences. Growing up with parents in ministry, her years have been
filled with lessons in faith. But not all of these lessons were easily
learned. From a young age, God has used difficulties in her life to
develop Sarah's wisdom and realistic view of the world. These life
lessons became the inspiration for her writing. She picked up the
guitar and began teaching herself, determined to reach others with a
message challenging them to a deeper level of commitment and
life-changing walk with Christ.
Her biggest influences musically
include artists and writers such as Nichole Nordeman, Steven Curtis
Chapman, and Brandon Heath. Sarah also attributes much of her influence
to her 'heroes in the faith'. A.W. Tozer, John MacArthur, John Piper
and many missionaries she's met on the field have helped grow Sarah's
understanding of God's Truth. This is greatly reflected in her writing
and the passion easily heard in her voice as she shares her music.
Sarah loves sharing her heart through discipleship and teaching as
well. The Lord has laid a special burden on her heart for missions and
adoption. Having been on several mission trips, Sarah plans to be
continually involved in cross-cultural ministry and has two sisters
adopted from China. She is also passionate about purity and calling her
generation back to Truth. The message and experiences Sarah has to
share make her a very unique artist, but her genuine love for people
and desire to reach them with God's Word is what truly sets her apart.
She strives to live by the verse Philippians 1:20, "I eagerly expect
and hope that I will no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient
courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body whether
by life or by death." Sarah's prayer is that God would be glorified
through her life, ministry and music.
